Life happens in the uncomfortable.

Guys, guess what? Women have worth outside of motherhood. Gasp! I know, who would have thought? It's true! You'd think I was walking around with horns and a tail by
Coming back from vacation is so overwhelming that it's tempting to just never take one. That's basically been my approach for 2022. To state the obvious, that is not healthy.
I spoke to several female business owners/professionals in the past few weeks and they all have one thing in common, they're exhausted. Just absolutely burned out. Their mental health is
Dear Little Bode, We've been watching you the past several months as you've dealt with loss, grief, growth, conflict and so much more. You're gonna be alright kid, you're tough,
Hey, I'm Bode.
Writer of musings.
Thanks for swinging by to check out my dogs, my ideas, my super fresh perspective and all the things that annoy me in life.
I can’t wait to share all the things you never knew you needed to know.

We’re going to tell you your site is bad, your messaging is jargon, and stock photography from the 90s is burning our eyes. A trifold will not get you a client, and cold calling makes people hate you.
We do the kind of work people remember—and the kind of relationships built to last.
In case you’re wondering, growth is hard, which I shared with @incmagazine
5. Anticipate trends, plan for the worst
“When you invest in growth, your profitability will take a hit. You can’t simultaneously grow and post record profits, especially when you are a small business. This past year, I had to take a step back to build, which meant I wasn’t out there selling, and as a result, our revenue is down. It’s your responsibility as the business owner to anticipate trends, read the economy, and plan for the worst. It’s why we expanded our business to add a complementary offering, but it’s going to be a hefty lift and require additional capital to build. Growth is painful but worth the risk. You need to believe in yourself because no one else will.” — Kim Bode, 8THIRTYFOUR
I really didn’t think I’d make it to @nawbo_national to speak. Joey, who is literally my heart, became suddenly paralyzed on Wednesday and after the Neuro consult, it wasn’t looking good.
They told me due to her age, we should make the hard decision, I couldn’t do it, not without the MRI (only $8k) to know what we were dealing with. We got good news Thursday, she had injured herself and her spinal cord could heal, it would cost another $7k for the surgery. The operation had complications and Dr. Stromburg, the surgeon, was concerned. When they say it went “ok,” you tend to panic.
The third photo is her the next morning, already sitting up, moving her head. The surgeon was shocked, said he thought about her all night and checked on her first when he got in.
So…I’m off to Puerto Rico today, hoping I get out of Atlanta, but to even have the option, is seriously such answered prayer.
She has a long recovery and will require round the clock care but she will recover. And now she is going to be called the million dollar dog.
@8thirtyfour is looking a little different these days. Special guest appearance by the one, the only, Josh Byler and @elite_masonry
Please enjoy these outtakes from my attempt to record a more “professional video.” I’m going back to the awkward camera angle. You’re welcome.
I`m speaking on Big Deal Energy on February 10 at the @ama_wm luncheon. You should come, and if you are a student, young professional; this will be relevant to you.
Big Deal Energy (n.): The confidence of knowing exactly who you are, owning your quirks, and communicating your authentic self unapologetically.
Ok, fun fact. @m.k.earley and I send each other outfit photos each morning. I don’t know how it started or why but it’s one of my favorite things so here are some of my favorite outfits from 2025. It’s basically my Spotify rewind but much more stylish..
It`s time for Bode`s Top 5 of 2025, it`s like the @spotify Wrapped but not really at all. Full link in my story and bio and wherever else we put those things.
2025 was a dumpster fire of epic proportions, but it`s also the year women recognized and owned their power and influence; because of that, I wouldn’t change a thing (ok, maybe a few things).
Here’s my recap and what I think it all means for 2026.
1. The Gray Wave: Women are quitting men cause we`re tired, we have each other, and life is easier without you. Ouch.
2. I Beg Your F*cking Pardon: Women are ruining the workplace with competence, collaboration, and equality. How dare us.
3. The Price of Your Cowardice: Is America great again? Guess I haven`t noticed between inflation, rising health care costs, and the sh*tty economy.
4. The Sisterhood. There is power in our gender; when we recognize and own it, we are unstoppable.
5. You Are the Face of Your Business. People buy from people, not logos. Embrace your personal brand, get out there, or watch your business suffer.
@crestongr @bestincreston outdid itself this year. @8thirtyfour brought back the boozy hot chocolate bar, and many of our favorites came back and declared us the best stop🎄.
